Earlier in 2021, hospital radio volunteers from across the country gathered virtually for the annual award ceremony.
You may (or may not) remember that in the category of ‘Station of the Year’, we were awarded silver!
The Judges said… “Our silver winner, according to the judges, perfectly showcases the power of hospital radio. They said it had the best start to an entry by a MILE. There was plenty of lockdown mentions and updates but the entry remained upbeat, with requests for NHS staff and key workers.”
Now that various restrictions over the last few months have been lifted, our shiny award has now safely made it from the awards HQ to our HQ at the University Hospital of Wales, where it now sits proudly in our studio.
