Established in 2018, Harmoni Cymru CIC is a not-for profit organisation bringing arts in health and music therapy services to people of all ages and to address a range of needs.
The group grew from a partnership with the Cardiff and Vale Health Board Charity, with whom they developed their ward residency programme which involves musicians engaging patients, visitors and staff in weekly interactive music sessions. These sessions aim to encourage social interaction, improve ward environments and to provide opportunities for the use of music as a tool within care.
Due to restrictions caused by the pandemic, the group could not achieve these sessions, so in 2020 called on Radio Glamorgan to reach patients with their music which you can hear every Sunday at 9am.
