Leading UK charity Marie Curie have recently released the first curated playlist for end-of-life CARE on Spotify – a series of tracks DESIGNED by the loved ones of people with a terminal illness.
Each track has been chosen by a loved one of a patient featuring their own personal ‘end of life playlist’
Research shows that 1 in 2 people who experienced bereavement of a loved one believe that music played a vital role in their end-of-life care, with 6 in 10 people finding the power of music comforting in the emotional period.
The playlist’s release comes as the charity warns one in four people still do not get the care that they need at the end of life and a third of dying people are severely or overwhelmingly affected by pain in the last week of life.
