In a few weeks time, our very own Janine is taking on a challenge that will take her to new heights!
In Janine’s words,
“I’ve always loved a challenge so I’ve decided to put my best foot forward (suitably booted) and hike up Yr Wyddfa (AKA Snowdon) and back down again all in the name of Hospital Radio Glamorgan”
Yr Wyddfa is the highest peak in Wales towering at 3560ft.
Janine plans on following the Watkin Path (weather dependent) which is considered one of the hardest routes covering a 3330ft ascent to the summit (so pretty much the whole height of the mountain)… all whilst recording a special version of the Sunday Songs!
There’ll be a Disney Double Dose taking place at the Summit, so as you can probably tell, Janine’s not going to be taking a leisurely stroll!
This all happens on the 25th May and she’ll be checking in with volunteers on air throughout the day!
