This coming weekend (25th + 26th March), It’s going to be a busy one for us… so strap in and read on to see what’s in store!
On Saturday, Sam Rees (Weekend Breakfast) and Luke Davies (GMRG) will be in Bolton… Why are they going to be there you ask?
That’s the location for the 2023 National Hospital Radio Awards, where we (Radio Glamorgan) are shortlisted for three awards; Station of the Year, Best Newcomer (Sam) and Best Station Promotion.
Ahead of the ceremony, Sam and Luke will be presenting a special ‘Saturday Matinee’ from 1-4pm from Bolton where they may just bump into a few known names… we don’t know that for sure but we’re hoping!
Jill Brinkworth, who’s normally on during that time will be getting ready to jump aboard the RG Night Train joining Andrew Woolfe alongside Richard Manning (Fridays 7-9pm) to present a special edition of the show, keeping you across any awards news and of course playing you some great tunes to keep you company on a Saturday evening.
Still with us? Great…
Then on Sunday, Jayne Jones (Sundays 1-4pm) will be waking up extra early to make the journey to Merthyr to run the Merthyr Half Marathon in aid of Radio Glamorgan.
Jayne will be updating listeners of her progress via Jason Manly who’s going to be LIVE between 9-Midday presenting an extended edition of Sunday Breakfast… and depending on how the awards have panned out, you may hear from Luke and Sam too (Who are usually on during that time on a Sunday!)
Finally, It would be a bit mean for Jayne to do her show as well as run a half marathon, so Byron Brain is stepping in to present the RG Fun Bus from LIVE 1-4pm (In what was his time slot up until recently!)
We told you it was a busy weekend! We hope you can join us in some way…
